2016.

This mural took me 3 days to complete. Day one, the homies showed up and helped me paint the base. Day two I experienced exhaustion for the first time in my life. Spending 12+ hours going up and down a ladder will do that to you. Day three, I added in all the details. I wasn’t feeling 100, but the drive outweighed the nausea, dizziness, and soreness.

I painted this while I was living out in beautiful South Central. Back then Susie and I would commute everywhere using Metro. Every trip we’d take was different; the scenary, the people, the culture. This mural holds various little moments in my memory of my time out there.

Thank you to all the homies who helped me with this mural. And if you see your name up this piece, it’s cus we share some kind of bond. Much love to you all.
